PCA Logos FAQ
Q:
Which file format do I need?
As a simple rule of thumb, if you will be using the PCA Logos on
printed material (that you are having professionally printed) you
want the ".eps" format. The ".jpg" format is
good for "non-professional printing" and for use on websites.
When downloading the graphics, please note that if you do
not have a program that will read ".eps" files (like Adobe
Illustrator, Pagemaker or Quark XPress) you should select the ".jpg"
version. If you do not have one of the programs above, you will
not be able to open the ".eps" format logo. If you are
having something professional designed, a designer should have access
to one of these programs.
Q:
How do I download the files?
jpg or gif versions: When you click on the ".jpg"
or ".gif" version of the logo, it will display in a new
browser window. Using your right mouse key (or for Mac users just
click and hold down). In your menu you will have an option to "save
the image to disk." Select the folder where you want to put
the file. The ".jpg" version can be used in page layout,
on websites or in many word processing programs.
(Be aware that the gradient ".jpg" logo needs to
be inserted into your chosen document (eg: Word, Publisher) to give
the perfect desired effect. It will look different being viewed
on your web page.
eps version: Right click on the logo which you wish to download.
When prompted, choose "Save This File to Disk" option
and open the downloaded file with your normal page layout programs.
Note: Internet Explorer users will need to add the ".eps"
extension manually after the filename. Netscape users will not
have to do this.
