About the

Presbyterian Church of Australia

Our Mission

The mission of the Church is to take the Gospel to people of all ethnic and cultural groupings. That mission is pursued in Australia and overseas...

The Presbyterian Church of Australia is a community of people who have come to believe God as he presents himself to us in the Bible.

We believe that all sixty six books of the Bible  have been given by God as his written word to humanity. As a result, we place a strong emphasis on effective teaching of the Bible so that we might live well, Worshipping God, Evangelising his world, Learning together and Loving one another and the communities in which we live and serve.

Because we  know what it is to be loved by Jesus, we delight to share his story and the significance of his life, death and resurrection wherever we can, both locally and across the world. It is our prayerful hope that other people from all nations and all walks of life might find the eternal life and hope  that we enjoy.

Our congregations are places where individuals and families can come to faith in Jesus, develop that faith, and find long-lasting relational connection and personal support.

We welcome newcomers and we would like to welcome you, too. Come and join us in glorifying God and enjoying him forever.

Our Model

Jesus rules over every aspect of his world whether regarded as spiritual or secular. He establishes authorities in both domains and requires them to respect one another and work co-operatively, complementing rather than competing. The Presbyterian Church therefore submits to relevant civil authorities in all matters under their proper direction. In all other matters, the Church claims control of its own affairs and appoints elders to govern the Church through a system of graded courts. ...

Our Message

The message of the Presbyterian Church of Australia is that God appointed Jeus to be the ruler of the world, and that God will judge the world through him. Everyone who trusts Jesus will be forgiven and enjoy eternal life with him. Everyone who does not trust Jesus, but persists in their desire to live without him, will receive what they desire and be cut off eternally from the God who gives life, hope, and every good thing. ...
